Kitchen Backsplash Design

First you have to realize that there are literally thousands and thousands of kitchen backsplash designs.  So, obviously, this is something that you would want to spend some time on and think about.

For most people, the backsplash is the main theme of the kitchen and often time the first thing people see when walking into the kitchen.  I recommend that you actually design the rest of your kitchen first and than choose a complimentary backsplash design.  This is because the kitchen backsplash itself is not really that expensive.  You will end up spending way more money on remodeling your cabinets, counter-tops, floors, and lighting.

Now, you also have to realize that the design of the backsplash will depend on what material you decide to go with.  Each kitchen backsplash material has its own limitations when it comes to designs.  Obviously it would be pretty hard to put a nice flowery mosaic design on a stainless steel backsplash.

Nowadays, you can even take a picture of yourself and put that as your backsplash!  So, again you can see how the choices are endless.  But, be sure to be creative and have some fun with choosing your kitchen backsplash design.

Kitchen Backsplash Reviews: Ideas & Designs

The kitchen backsplash is one of the most vital parts of the kitchen.  The backsplash sets the tone for the overall theme of the kitchen.  That is why people normally spend months trying to find the perfect one for their kitchen.  Often times, people spend thousands of dollars hiring interior design specialists and various other experts to create their perfect kitchen backsplash.

Things To Consider

The first thing you need to consider when looking to either replace or remodel your kitchen backsplash is obviously going to be the price.  For most people the price is the main factor, so it is important to start budget for the project first.  Often times people make the mistake of trying to fit their budget into their backsplash rather than fitting their backsplash into their budget.

The other thing to consider is what type of material do you want to use for your backsplash.  Kitchen backsplashes come in many different types of materials such as:

- Glass
- Ceramic
- Granite
- Stainless Steel

Each one of these materials comes with their advantages and disadvantages.

In the coming weeks, we will be posting details about each type, so stay tuned....
